Too lazy to read this FAQ? Here's the most important stuff.

BEFORE REUNION

Q: I can't make it after all! Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?
A: No. Unfortunately, as of 3pm on Wednesday, June 4, registration and ticket transfers are now closed. We will not be able to honor any further requests for transfer of tickets.

Q: I registered but I have not gotten any confirmation emails from anyone.
A: Check your spam folders. Everyone who is registered and staying on campus should have received an email. You can email our Reunion Coordinators if you are concerned.

Q: Will there be lots of food options?
A: No. Food options will be limited. You should plan to bring your own food if you have dietary restrictions. You may want to bring snacks and refillable water bottles. There are water stations inside most buildings.

Q: What does the weather forecast look like?
A: It's near the top of this FAQ. You'll want to check with NOAA early and often.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Most official activities will happen rain or shine. Check with organizers of unofficial and off-campus events, though.

Q: What if I want to just show up?
A: Don't. We are anticipating approximately 800 guests for Reunion Weekend and will have no space for those wanting to attend who aren't registered. Maybe hang out with friends somewhere off-campus.

Q: Can I bring my pets?
A: No. Pets are not permitted on campus. The only animals allowed on campus are service animals. Service animals must be under control of their owner at all times. We also request that your service animal wear a vest or be otherwise visibly marked as a service animal.

REGISTRATION AND ARRIVAL

Q: When does registration start?
A: Registration is on Friday, June 6, 3pm-9pm and Saturday, June 7, 8am-8pm.
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE ON CAMPUS BEFORE 3PM FRIDAY.

Q: Where should I enter campus?
A: You should access campus either via:

The Lower Pond Entrance on Alford Road between the Liebowitz Center for International Studies and Pebble House should only be used as an exit, if possible. Due to very limited parking availability, we strongly recommend parking in town and carpooling to campus.

Q: Where can I find a map of the campus?
A: Here is an online map of campus.

Q: Where is registration once I arrive on campus?
A: Reunion Headquarters will be located in Livingston Hall Student Union.

Q: Where is registration if I am arriving late on Friday or Saturday?
A: At Campus Safety.

Q: Can I attend Reunion if I am not registered?
A: No. We are anticipating approximately 800 guests for Reunion Weekend and will have no space for those wanting to attend who aren't registered. Maybe hang out with friends somewhere off-campus.

Q: I heard that people without tickets will be permitted to visit before Reunion starts. Is that true?
A: No. There is far too much going on in preparation for Reunion to deal with visitors. See next item.

Q: Can I visit campus after Reunion before campus closes?
A: Yes! You are welcome to visit campus for a non-overnight visit after Reunion ends. Please contact Tom Esch, Institutional Advancement, (413) 644-4776 or email tesch@simons-rock.edu to arrange a visit. Please note that various buildings and places may be unavailable when you visit due to other groups and organizations renting parts of campus for summer use.

Q: I was on the waiting list, and I heard that some people are no longer attending Reunion. Does that mean I can attend now and stay on campus?
A: No. We are full.

Q: How many guests will be attending Reunion Weekend?
A: We anticipate approximately 800 guests. The nature of this Reunion Weekend will make it unlike any other in the history of the College. Please be respectful of the crowds we will be managing. If you are uncomfortable with large crowds and wish to visit campus at another time before it closes, please contact Tom Esch, Institutional Advancement, (413) 644-4776 or email tesch@simons-rock.edu.

Q: Is there a list of everyone attending Reunion?
A: The College has this list and is determining if/how to share that with guests. Reunion guests will be provided with nametags and lanyards for the weekend, including ways to identify the year(s) students attended.

Q: How can I connect with people who are attending Reunion?
A: You might try these sites.

TRANSPORTATION

Q1: I need help getting onto campus. Is there a list of people who are offering rides/carpool?
Q2: I can help with getting people to campus. How can I make that known?
A: We encourage folks looking for or able to offer carpools to connect through various Alumni means. This could include posting on the Simon's Rock alum facebook groups, via the Reflector, on Discord, and wherever else alums gather. If you need an assist in signalboosting your request, you can email Anne or Ali.

Q: Can I use Uber, Lyft, or other ride-sharing services?
A: Yes, but please note that wait times could easily be two hours or more. Alumni are cautioned not to rely on availability of ride-share services.

Q: How do I get around Great Barrington?
A: This might help.

PARKING

Q: Will there be parking on campus?
A: There is limited parking availability, with priority given to guests with special needs and those staying on campus.
We encourage you to arrange carpools with other attendees. Depending on the weather, there may be parking on the soccer field, but plan accordingly.

Q: Where should I park on campus?
A: Stay tuned for more details.

Q: During Reunion, if I need to drive around campus to get to different locations, is that possible?
A: Yes! We encourage those guests with special needs to drive around campus and park as needed.
For all others, we encourage you to stroll around campus. Most venues are within walking distance.

Q: Where should guests with special needs park?
A: Parking along the roundabout (formerly the parking lot above the Dining Hall), including Blodgett House, Kellogg Music Center, and the Dining Hall will be reserved for those traveling with special needs. There are additional, marked handicapped/mobility-impaired parking spots scattered around the campus near most buildings.

Q: Are there traffic flow restrictions?
A: Yes. The roundabout is strictly one-way, running counter-clockwise. Additionally, there are multiple roadways which are less than two-lanes wide, so please be respectful of oncoming traffic and proceed carefully. We are evaluating additional one-way traffic flow rules. Stay tuned.

HOUSING

Housekeeping: No individual room cleaning service will take place during Reunion. You may want to bring your own extra blanket. Garbage and recycling should be placed in the bins provided. Toiletries are not provided.

Q: I'm staying on campus. What linens are provided? Do I need to bring towels and pillows?
A: Linens include one fitted sheet, one flat sheet, a light blanket, a pillow, a pillow case, and a towel. Anything else you want to use or think you might need, you should bring with you. You may want to bring shower shoes, especially if you are also planning to access the Athletic Center.

Q: How do I get keys, linens, etc. for my room/dorm?
A: You will receive these items when you register at Reunion Headquarters in Livingston Hall Student Union.

Q: Are the dorms air-conditioned?
A: No. Only the modules have air conditioning. Plan accordingly. You may want to bring fans and cords from home as local supply might be limited or sold out.

Q: What if I have problems getting into my room/dorm?
A: Stop by Reunion Headquarters in Livingston Hall Student Union. If it is after hours, contact Campus Safety, (413) 528-7291.

Q: What if I have problems with my room/dorm after I arrive?
A: The Physical Plant team will be available for facilities-related issues. However, due to crowd sizes, we ask that you not contact them directly. Instead, contact Campus Safety, (413) 528-7291, and someone will help you.

Q: Is there a refundable deposit required at time of check-in?
A: We are assessing this option. Details will be provided before Reunion starts.

Q: Will rooms be inspected before arrival and after departure?
A: Yes. The College will be using the dormitories over the summer as rental revenue. We ask that all guests be respectful of College property. You should expect to pay for any damages.

Q: Can I house other guests into my room/dorm who are not registered for Reunion?
A: No. In consideration of the health and safety of our registered guests and College staff, we ask that you not house people who are not registered for Reunion.

Q: Where can I stay off campus?
A: This might help.

It has been around for over 30 years (!), more than half the age of the school! It is usually pretty low-bandwidth but occasionally someone will spark a conversation, as Alumni are want to do. To subscribe, send an email to rockers-subscribe@med.stanford.edu.
Many, many thanks go to Glenn Peacock W'84 for tirelessly maintaining this vital resource.

Q: Where else do Alumni gather online?
A: Lots of places! Here are a few.
